German technology group Muhlbauer's CEO Stefan Muhlbauer visited Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) on Oct 27, expressing the company's commitment to expanding its operations and strengthening its local presence.

The group focuses on technologies and equipment for the Internet of Things (IoT), integrated circuits, battery manufacturing and artificial intelligence. Muhlbauer said WND's strong industrial base, innovation ecosystem and business environment make it an important hub for the group's development in Asia.

Muhlbauer plans to further optimize its production and R&D capabilities in WND, expand its local operations and work more closely with the regional industrial ecosystem. It also aims to bring new technologies and products into local applications.

Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of WND, highlighted the district's well-developed IoT industrial chain, which spans sensor design and manufacturing, data collection and transmission, and intelligent applications and services.

He noted that the group's planned precision machining expansion project is expected to enable its Wuxi subsidiary to produce more key components in-house and strengthen local supply chains.

Founded in 2013, Muhlbauer Technologies Wuxi is the group's only manufacturing and service center in China.
