A delegation from Paris' 13th Arrondissement, led by Daniel Tran, visited Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) on Nov 3 to discuss closer exchanges and cooperation.
During the visit, WND and the 13th Arrondissement signed a memorandum of friendly exchange and cooperation.
Tran praised WND's industrial development and business environment. Home to one of Paris' largest Chinese communities, the 13th Arrondissement has also been stepping up its development in recent years and is building high-tech innovation incubators, providing a solid foundation for future cooperation with WND.
With the agreement in place, he said, the two sides can further expand exchanges in areas including the economy, culture and sports.
Gu Guodong, head of WND, noted that WND is home to a large number of foreign-invested companies, including several French Fortune Global 500 companies. He expressed hope that the partnership would extend beyond economic cooperation to promote exchanges in areas such as fashion, culture and education.
The 13th Arrondissement is one of Paris' 20 municipal arrondissements and is known for its distinctive streets and architecture, which reflect the city's historic character.
