SK hynix Wuxi Foreign Language School welcomes first junior high students

SK hynix Wuxi Foreign Language School in Xinwu district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, welcomed its first cohort of junior high students on Sept 1, marking a major expansion from a primary school to a full nine-year program. The move extends the school's high-quality, internationally oriented education to a broader age range of students.

The school held a ceremony that morning to welcome the new junior high cohort and celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in its development.

The school has adopted a "5+2+2" structure for its nine-year program: five years of primary education, two years dedicated to the transition into secondary school and two years of junior high. The junior high division will offer four types of courses and introduce a flexible "3+X" course-selection model, giving students greater autonomy in shaping their own learning paths.

The opening ceremony also featured an AED donation initiative. SK hynix donated automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to 15 schools across Xinwu district, helping strengthen the community's emergency response network.

Since 2019, SK hynix has worked with various organizations across Wuxi to expand citywide AED deployment, with the total number of devices expected to exceed 100 by the end of 2026.

Founded in 2021 through a partnership between SK hynix and Shanghai World Foreign Language Education Group, the school has since earned recognition from parents and the wider community for its high-quality educational offerings.
