WND showcases AI ecosystem at World AI Conference

Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) presented the strength of its fast-growing artificial intelligence ecosystem at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) which opened on July 17 in Shanghai.

Nearly 20 WND partners and local companies participated in this year's event, spanning sectors including foundation models, computing chips, and embodied intelligence.

Among the participants, iFlytek demonstrated its latest advances in intelligent speech, computer vision, natural language processing and cognitive intelligence.

The company, a long-time leader in AI research, signed a project agreement with WND during WAIC 2025. Since then, it has established a presence in the district and advanced multiple initiatives, including the research and development of multimodal foundation models and related AI technologies.

AI chip developer Enflame Technology also highlighted its growing footprint in WND. The company established its East China regional headquarters in the district in 2024. Its self-developed S60 AI inference accelerator cards now power the Taihu Yixin Intelligent Computing Center, a project developed by WND and Shanghai Wanwuzhiyi Technology. The center has become one of the region's flagship examples of domestically developed AI computing infrastructure.

Local robotics company Crabnova Intelligent showcased its expertise in core components for robots. With a 12,000-square-meter base in WND, the company has built strengths across the entire development process, from materials and heat treatment to precision machining, design simulation and intelligent manufacturing.
