Ten renowned sinologists and translators from Canada, Hungary, Italy, South Korea, Mexico, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States visited Wuxi's Xinwu district, also known as WND, on April 23, exploring local cultural heritage at the Meicun Erhu Industrial Park and the Hongshan Site Museum.
At the Meicun Erhu Industrial Park, the visitors showed strong interest in every stage of erhu production. After touring workshops, observing traditional craftsmanship, and listening to a performance of the classic piece Erquan Yingyue (Moon Reflected on the Erquan Spring), many of the scholars picked up bows and tried playing the erhu themselves.

The Hongshan Site Museum houses cultural treasures from the Wu and Yue states during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods (770-221 BC). More than 2,300 precious relics, including the jade flying phoenix, celadon ritual vessels, and musical instruments, vividly reflect the sophisticated ritual culture and craftsmanship of more than 2,500 years ago.
