  • WND held a meeting to advance high-quality development in 2026 on April 9, emphasizing the importance of performance evaluations, calling for stronger accountability, and rallying collective efforts to deliver a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).

  • Senior executives from iSoftStone visited WND on April 7. SwanLink, the company's subsidiary focused on the OpenHarmony ecosystem in WND, has over the past four years achieved leading commercialization breakthroughs and boosted the district's innovation-driven IT sector. SwanLink's Wuxi headquarters will be upgraded to help build a fully connected, intelligent digital foundation across the district.

  • A milestone moment for Gigalane China! The first batch of its CITUS series nano-imprinters has passed customer validation and has now been shipped. This marks the company's full readiness for the mass production of high-end semiconductor equipment.

  • The Jiangsu-HK Technology Transfer Center and the HK & Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center were launched in WND on April 7, accelerating cross-regional innovation ties. Two joint labs co-built by PolyU were also initiated, focusing on space manufacturing and brain-computer interface technology.

  • Wuxi's first AI-powered animated short drama space was launched in late March.   • The motorcycle brand ZXMOTO has surged in popularity across the nation. Enthusiasts in WND can experience it firsthand at the brand's authorized dealership in Jiangxi sub-district. Beyond strong sales, WND also plays a key role in the supply chain. KYB Corporation's local subsidiary is one of the world's largest manufacturers of suspension systems for mid- to high-displacement motorcycles, providing critical components that support the brand's growing popularity.

The district signed deals for 13 projects totaling nearly 4 billion yuan ($585.45 million), including a 2-billion-yuan energy storage equipment headquarters and a 1-billion-yuan foods for special medical purposes project. These new foreign investments further strengthened the district's global appeal and openness.
