Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) in East China's Jiangsu province held a conference on March 9 to advance its AI+ three-year action plan and promote innovation in AI-driven manufacturing.
At the meeting, officials released and explained several key policy documents, including the district's AI industry development plan for 2026-28 and an implementation plan to speed up the integration of AI with manufacturing during the same period. A draft set of measures encouraging the integration of open-source projects such as OpenClaw with the OPC (one-person company) community was also introduced.
Two new institutions were also inaugurated: the WND AI Industry Promotion Center and the district's AI Association. The promotion center will offer full life-cycle services to AI enterprises, while the association aims to serve as a bridge between government and industry.
During the event, the district also released 30 "AI + manufacturing" real-world applications, spanning multiple areas including production, research and design, pilot testing, and operations management. WND further announced the launch of a 3-billion-yuan ($436 million) AI industry fund.
