Wuxi is expanding its AI ecosystem through a new strategic partnership with Sugon. Signed on July 20, the agreement focuses on four areas: computing power services, chip design, aerospace information, and smart city development. By combining strengths in technology and industry, the two sides aim to create new momentum for high-quality growth.

Wuxi is deepening ties with AVIC Innovation to accelerate aerospace innovation. Following talks on July 21, the two sides will fast-track cooperation in line with Jiangsu's partnership with AVIC, turning new opportunities created by the development of the Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area international innovation centers into concrete projects.

A July 21 visit by Germany's Infineon marked a new step in its partnership with Wuxi. Building on the consensus reached by Chinese and German leaders and the outcomes of the China-Germany Economic Advisory Committee meeting, the two sides will deepen collaboration in integrated circuits and foster a stronger semiconductor ecosystem.

Five AI projects with a combined investment of 1.8 billion yuan ($265.77 million) were signed by WND at the 2026 Wuxi (Shanghai) AI Technology and Industry Matchmaking Conference on July 18. Coller Capital has established a 1.2-billion-yuan secondaries fund, focused on acquiring private equity fund interests and investment portfolios.

WND was invited as one of just four key industrial parks to share its experience at a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology symposium on manufacturing digital transformation on July 22. Just 90 minutes after launch, two satellites transmitted their first high-definition Earth images, setting a new national record for the fastest image downlink by a commercial satellite.

AMTE has reached a major milestone in WND with the topping-out of the R&D complex in its new headquarters.
