  • Changjin Photonics Technology visited WND on June 26 to advance cooperation with the district and Taclink Optoelectronics Technology. Together, the two parties will explore cutting-edge optoelectronic technologies and develop solutions for next-generation high-speed optical communications and computing networks.

  • At a high-quality service industry development conference on July 1, Wuxi officials pledged to advance initiatives that expand capacity and enhance quality across the sector. The goal is to build Wuxi into a regional hub for modern services and accelerate the city's modernization.

  • During an inspection of Wuxi MixC on July 2, local officials called for closer integration of public well-being and consumer spending. By addressing residents' concerns and improving everyday services, the city aims to create a more vibrant urban environment while enhancing people's sense of satisfaction and their quality of life.

  • A gathering in celebration of the 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China started at the Great Hall of the People on July 1 in Beijing. WND officials watched the celebration together. Party members and residents across the district also tuned in to commemorate the occasion with pride and confidence.

  • WND honored exemplary Party members and organizations on July 2. During the event, district officials also presented commemorative medals to veteran Party members in recognition of their 50 years of Party membership.

  • WND leaders visited local communities on June 30 to review Party-building efforts in grassroots governance and extend greetings to Party members and Party affairs workers. They called for accelerating the modernization of grassroots governance, underscoring the role of effective community governance in supporting WND's goal of becoming a world-class high-tech park.

  • The co-founder of the Fusion Stellarator Project visited WND on June 26. Backed by extensive expertise in magnetic confinement fusion and experience from major projects in China and abroad, the team has proposed a dual-mode stellarator designed to advance the commercialization of large-scale stellarators and support the development of more stable and efficient fusion energy.

  • Construction on Lead Intelligent Equipment's global headquarters in WND began on July 3. The 37,000-square-meter complex will bring together the group's R&D, marketing and finance teams under one roof, strengthening its global innovation and manufacturing capabilities.

  • WND officials inspected environmental protection and workplace safety efforts at Taihu Lake on June 30, calling for stricter standards and more effective implementation of emergency prevention and response measures. The inspection underscored the district's commitment to safeguarding public safety and protecting the environment.

  • Oruid, a joint venture backed by Stellantis and Miracle Group, has signed a contract to establish operations in WND, strengthening Stellantis' ecosystem in micromobility and the circular automotive economy. Meanwhile, two additional Stellantis business projects are progressing smoothly and are expected to be finalized later this year in Wuxi.

  • Deep Blue Aerospace has been named among the first members of China's Commercial Aerospace Innovation Consortium. On July 1, the State Administration of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense released the consortium's inaugural member list. Deep Blue Aerospace was selected as part of the Rocket and Launch Group.

  • Radio Master officially established its smart test and measurement equipment headquarters in WND on June 26. The new headquarters is expected to strengthen Radio Master's technological innovation and manufacturing capabilities by shortening product development cycles and improving delivery efficiency. It will also support the district's efforts to build a modern industrial system while advancing the localization of advanced communications testing technologies.

  • Jiangsu honored its outstanding Party members, Party affairs workers and primary-level Party organizations on July 1. Among the honorees, WND-based Unicomp was recognized as an advanced primary-level Party organization.

  • Wuxi announced its awards for outstanding Party members, Party affairs workers and primary-level Party organizations on July 2. Among the honorees were eight Party members, nine Party affairs workers and nine primary-level Party organizations from WND.

  • Happy 1st anniversary to the Bodu River Cultural Center in WND! Since its launch, the center has welcomed more than 1 million visitors, becoming a to-go destination for exhibitions, reading, performances and family-friendly activities.

  • Exciting news for international travelers! Wuxi Shuofang Airport has broken ground on its new duty-free shop for arriving passengers, the first of its kind to begin construction in East China. Soon, travelers will have the opportunity to shop for cosmetics, fragrances, premium spirits, tobacco and more — all in one convenient stop after landing.

  • Wuxi Shuofang Airport has welcomed the first offline experience stores of two homegrown smart glasses brands, RayNeo and XREAL. Travelers can now try cutting-edge AR technology before takeoff, adding a futuristic touch to every journey.

  • The timeless sound of the erhu took center stage in WND on July 2. Two signature events brought together renowned performers, scholars and enthusiasts to celebrate the traditional Chinese instrument while exploring new approaches to its preservation and innovation. The events further strengthened the district's reputation as the Home of the Erhu and helped advance Wuxi's development as a City of Music.
