WND sees tourism surge during Dragon Boat Festival

Tourist destinations across Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) welcomed a wave of visitors during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, highlighting the district's growing appeal as a cultural and leisure destination.

According to local statistics, WND's six rated scenic attractions, together with popular destinations including Meili Ancient Town, Lianghong National Wetland Park, Daxigang Wetland Park, Gonghu Bay Wetland Park, Jinkui Park, Shangxian River Wetland Park and Zhouxinli, received a total of 406,854 visits during the holiday period, marking a year-on-year increase of 41.95 percent.

A variety of festive activities added to the holiday atmosphere and offered visitors immersive experiences rooted in traditional culture.

At the Bodu River Cultural Center, guests took part in workshops to create mugwort bouquets, a cherished Dragon Boat Festival custom believed to bring blessings and ward off misfortune.
