At Motorevo Robotics' precision joint manufacturing base in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, which began operations last month, an automated production line is steadily turning out a robot joint module every 90 seconds.
Founded just three years ago, the tech startup is rapidly gaining attention for combining advanced robotics technology with high production efficiency, helping accelerate the transition of robots from research labs to commercial markets.

Robot joints are a key component that determines the movement precision and strength of humanoid robots. According to Liu Yanyu, co-founder and head of R&D at Motorevo Robotics, the company's joint modules can operate for thousands of hours without failure on average, making reliability one of the main reasons robot manufacturers choose its products.
Liu also highlighted the modules' ability to deliver high torque while remaining lightweight.

Cost reduction remains one of the biggest challenges facing the widespread adoption of humanoid robots.
Liu noted that joints account for more than half the cost of an entire robot. Through improvements in manufacturing processes and material optimization, the company aims to reduce the cost of a single joint module to below 1,000 yuan ($147.35), paving the way for household-friendly robot prices.
