A delegation from UBTECH Robotics visited Wuxi on April 11, further deepening the company's close and long-term cooperation with the city. UBTECH is a leading player in humanoid robotics in China. Its joint venture with Miracle Automation in WND serves as an R&D, production and delivery headquarters for smart logistics. An industrial robot park with a multi-hundred-million-yuan investment is also under construction and is expected to be operational this year.

MetaX signed a deal on April 15 to establish its Yangtze River Delta Innovation Center in Wuxi, focusing on GPU ecosystem development, tech support, marketing and talent training. It has also partnered with Yunzhan to build a computing cluster, delivering scalable, integrated computing power to industries such as AI, manufacturing, finance, and healthcare.

Jiang Feng, mayor of Wuxi, visited Shanghai to meet with representatives of Alfa Laval, Bosch, and Tesla on April 16. The visits aimed to further connect with foreign-invested enterprises and expand cooperation. They also sought to unlock shared opportunities and achieve mutual benefits, supporting Wuxi's efforts to strengthen its new quality productive forces.

Chuangda Materials was listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange on April 13, becoming the 2nd listed company in WND and the 3rd in Wuxi this year. With 49 listed companies now, WND continues to grow as a hub for industry, innovation, and capital.

WND officials visited Beijing on April 13-14 to meet universities, sci-tech parks, and enterprises. The visit focused on strengthening links between technological and industrial innovation and advancing cross-regional cooperation, contributing to high-quality development at provincial and city levels.

Joinsun Intelligent Technology signed an agreement to establish its semiconductor equipment production headquarters in WND on April 16. The company specializes in ultrasonic scanning acoustic microscopy systems. The new project will build cleanroom facilities and add one fully automated wafer-level ultrasonic scanning microscope production line as well as one R&D and production line for high-frequency ultrasonic transducers.

WND held a meeting on April 10 to advance the development of the sports, performance, and exhibition economy. The meeting focused on boosting consumption and building new growth drivers to support the high-quality development of these sectors.

WND officials carried out a role-switching experience on April 10, focusing on business environment, workplace safety, and public services. The initiative aims to identify issues from the user's perspective and further enhance service efficiency and the business environment.

Team Wuxi defeated Team Zhenjiang  3-1 at home in the opening match of the 2026 Jiangsu Football City League on April 11. WND officials met with WND players and the team doctor on April 16. The players later visited Xin'an Experimental Primary School for a football activity with students.

China's high-tech development zones have strengthened efforts across the full talent pipeline while exploring ways to better align the university's innovations with industrial needs. At a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology press briefing on April 10, WND was invited to share its experience in building closer university-industry collaboration.
