  • An innovative drug accelerator fund was launched in Wuxi on March 11 at a symposium focused on financial support for new quality productive forces. Backed by Wuxi Capital Group, Xinwu district, Binhu district, and Vivo Capital, the 2 billion yuan ($290.12 million) fund will help speed up biomedical innovation in the city.

  • A delegation from AstraZeneca visited Wuxi on March 10 to explore deeper cooperation, with plans to advance a new round of strategic partnership, expand the company's manufacturing and sales presence in the city, and explore new frontiers in the biopharmaceutical sector.

  • Senior executives from Stellantis visited Wuxi on March 12 to discuss expanding industrial cooperation, aiming to accelerate the development of a micromobility project in China and attract more high-quality companies across the city's supply chain.

  • WND held an event marking the 116th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 7. Women's federations across the district have rolled out a range of initiatives, including women's employment service centers, child-friendly neighborhoods, and women-friendly industrial parks.

  • WND held a meeting on March 9 to advance its three-year AI+ action plan and promote "AI + Manufacturing". The district will further integrate AI with manufacturing to accelerate industrial upgrading and take the lead in developing new quality productive forces.

  • More than 30 Taiwan-funded companies and financial institutions gathered on March 13 in WND, home to a quarter of all Taiwan-funded enterprises in Wuxi, for a cooperation dialogue, during which representatives shared ideas and explored new partnerships. 

  • LabConnect, a global leader in central laboratory solutions, launched its China headquarters in WND on March 11. It will deliver world-class clinical trial services to Wuxi's biopharmaceutical companies, helping them expand abroad, while also attracting more global resources to the district, building a new international bridge for high-quality biopharma growth in the Yangtze River Delta region.

  • WND officials visited Shenzhen from March 4 to 6 to meet with leading AI, computing power, embodied robotics, and biomedicine companies. The trip focused on advancing key projects and attracting investments to help foster new growth drivers for the district.

  • WND held a meeting on March 9 to advance its three-year "AI+" action plan and promote "AI + Manufacturing". During the event, WND released a draft outlining 12 policies to support the integrated development of OpenClaw, an open-source AI tool, and OPC (one-person company) communities, with the aim of creating a supportive, secure environment for AI innovation.

  • WND held a meeting on March 9 to advance its three-year "AI+" action plan and promote "AI + Manufacturing". Six new AI-driven products made their debut at the conference. Designed for real industrial applications, the products are expected to support the digital and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing sector.

  • A new hub for robotics has opened in WND. As the Jiangsu flagship store of the world's first robot 6S store, it offers one-stop services across the entire robot lifecycle, from display and sales to maintenance, research programs, training, and startup incubation.

  • WND organized a group of more than 105 organizations, including companies, industry associations, and investment promotion teams, to attend the 3rd China Embodied Intelligent Robot Exhibition held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, from March 11 to 13. The exhibition attracted hundreds of robotics companies and showcased the latest achievements in robot components, robot body manufacturing and system integration.

  • Wuxi Cummins Turbo Technologies has unveiled a new high-horsepower turbocharger for the global market during its 30th anniversary celebration. Wuxi Vane Wheel Engineering, Cummins' longtime partner and also based in WND, contributed to the new product. The two companies represent upstream and downstream links of the same industrial chain.

  • More than 200 early cherry trees are now in full bloom at a hidden, free cherry blossom grove across from the T2 parking lot of Sunan Shuofang International Airport in WND. Catch the magical moment when a plane glides over the blossoms — a perfect spring photo spot you won't want to miss.

  • Tree Planting Day returns, and WND is greener than ever. Pocket parks and charming community gardens are scattered across the district, turning everyday moments into nature-filled ones.
