WND companies showcase manufacturing strength at Canton Fair

A total of 29 enterprises from Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND) occupied 63 booths at the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), which opened on Oct 15.

Among them, Little Swan, a long-established washing machine brand from the district, showcased its Fresco washer-dryer series, along with several other innovative cleaning products.

The Fresco series allows users to customize door panels, control boards, and knobs, while a live demo program enables visitors to preview different combinations in real time. The latest models feature color displays that support multiple languages, while intuitive icons make the interface more user-friendly.

"We expect to meet more than 120 clients from around the world during this year's Canton Fair," said company representative Shi Dongzhe.

Wuxi Aplus Power Machinery, a manufacturer specializing in high-quality, high-power, and customized generator sets and energy storage products, also showcased its latest models. "Our generator sets have received strong recognition from industry peers and potential clients, and we've already obtained several purchase intentions," said booth manager Chen Bing.

This year marked Wuxi Yinow Electric Equipment's debut at the Canton Fair. "We hope to make full use of this platform to showcase our products and expand into larger international markets," said the company's representative. "Everyday discussions with different clients — from confirming product parameters to exploring detailed real-world applications — have sparked new ideas. We're discovering niche demands and cooperation models we hadn't considered before."

From January to September this year, WND recorded 330.26 billion yuan ($46.4 billion) in total imports and exports, up 14 percent year-on-year. In September alone, foreign trade volume reached 40.39 billion yuan, marking an 11.1 percent increase from the same period last year.
