China's first data asset registration platform for industrial digitalization was launched on June 20 in WND. Built on a pioneering entity-event AI framework, the platform enables unified data management and fast retrieval, driving digital economy and empowering industrial and supply chains.

Swedish industrial giant Atlas Copco broke ground on its compressor and power technique project at its Ximei Road subsidiary in WND on June 25. Once operational, the facility will produce 10,020 compressors, 5,000 generators, and 150 energy storage systems annually, making it one of the company's largest R&D and production hubs for the Power Technique Business Area outside Belgium.

A new milestone for commercial spaceflight in WND! Jiuyu Jianmu signed an agreement to establish its commercial aerospace headquarters in the district on June 26. The company is the first in China to apply DED multi-metal 3D printing to rocket engines. Its new project will integrate R&D, new materials, advanced manufacturing, and parts production.

WND hosted a biomedicine industry progress meeting on June 27, during which a list of innovative medical products from the district recognized by Wuxi city was released. The Jiangsu Wuxi Biomedicine Industry Fund signed its first investment project, committing 120 million yuan ($16.73 million) to Dizal Pharma. Newish Biotech also secured a 10-million-yuan equity investment from Wuxi Future Industry Angel Fund, marking the fund's first investment.

The Bodu River Cultural Center, a new urban landmark in WND,  opens to the public on June 28. With a bold facade, the 23,700-square-meter center offers a beautiful blend of city life and natural scenery.

Pickleball fever hit WND as two major events lit up the courts from June 19 to 22! The first Jiangsu Pickleball Tournament welcomed 140 players from 14 teams, followed by the "Li Ning Cup" China Tour Wuxi Stop, with athletes from 15 provinces giving it their all.

Construction of Jiangsu Tianyi High School's WND campus is in full swing. Located in Hongshan sub-district, the school is scheduled to open in September 2026. It will provide 3,600 seats and aims to boost balanced education while serving as a model campus for Wuxi and beyond.

The renovation plan for Keyan North Road (from Jinghui East Road to Linghu Avenue) has been unveiled. Spanning 618.6 meters, the upgraded road will empower the city's innovation-driven future with improved efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
