The China Great Wall Internet's Eastern Base was recently launched in WND. Backed by a 1-billion-yuan ($139.26 million) investment, it will focus on cloud computing, cybersecurity, low-altitude safety alerts, and smart equipment manufacturing.

Top officials from WND visited Beijing and Yantai from June 17 to 19 to engage with major enterprises in semiconductors, biomedicine, humanoid and embodied AI robotics, as well as related ministries and commissions. The trip aimed to deepen cooperation, secure project agreements, and power up future industrial growth with cutting-edge innovation.

The agreement for Lead Digital's industrial large model project was signed in WND on June 20. The project will foster AI application ecosystems, power intelligent upgrades in manufacturing, attract top players in robotics, large models & chips, and build a flagship "AI + Industry" demo base.

The Wuxi ESG Industry Innovation Center and Alliance were launched in WND on June 18. Focusing on green tech incubation, certification, carbon trading, global collaboration, and ecosystem building, they aim to advance ESG practices and drive new growth under China's dual-carbon goals through dedicated platforms for finance, talent, and innovation.

In the first five months of 2025, WND led Wuxi with over 5.2 billion yuan ($724.07 million) and 17 billion yuan invested in 10 provincial and 54 municipal major projects — both surpassing 50 percent completion. These projects align with WND's core and emerging industries, fueling growth in scale, structure, and quality.

China's homegrown large amphibious aircraft, the AG600 Kunlong, has been granted its production license in Zhuhai, Guangdong, marking the start of mass production. GRG Metrology & Test conducted thousands of test verifications while its WND-based subsidiary played a key role in supporting milestones such as the maiden flight and airworthiness certification.

The Jiangsu Provincial Data Bureau recently unveiled the first batch of Trusted Data Space projects, with two from WND selected: CCTV International Network Wuxi's Trusted Data Space Based on National Network Video Database and Teddy Lab Wuxi's Trusted Data Space for New Drug R&D.

The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce recently announced its first group of night-time consumption hubs. WND's Meili Ancient Town Cultural & Tourism Block made the cut – a testament to the high-quality development of the nighttime economy.

The Wuxi Symphony Orchestra celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a special concert titled "Melody of Growth" in WND on June 14. Featuring a rich blend of Eastern and Western classics, the performance showcased the orchestra's evolution while making symphonic music more accessible to the public.

The buzzing Jinhu Road Trunk Market reopened on the evening of June 19. As neon signs lit up, vendors prepared stalls with cold drinks, coffee, sweets, and dumplings, creating a lively atmosphere that quickly attracted many locals to enjoy the night market vibe.
