Additionally, the initiative will allocate up to 200 million yuan ($27.78 million) annually to support the development of a premier industrial technology innovation brand.

Uni-President Enterprises Wuxi launched its new intelligent aseptic beverage filling line in the China-EU Industrial Innovation Zone, WND on May 23. With an investment of 300 million yuan ($41.67 million), the state-of-the-art facility was completed in just eight months and is equipped with China's most advanced PET bottling system. The Wuxi production base now boasts an annual capacity of over 30 million cases, supporting sales exceeding 500 million yuan.

The Wuxi Airport International Mail Exchange Station was launched in WND on May 26. Outbound mail can now fly direct from Shuofang Airport, lowering transport costs and speeding up delivery. It's a boost for local businesses and marks a major step forward in Wuxi's quest to become an air logistics hub. A 3,000-square-meter warehouse is also underway to support the station, offering 30-day free storage and other value-added services.

WND leads Wuxi's rankings with 19 companies, accounting for 23% of the city's total, in Jiangsu's first 2025 list of specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative SMEs. Notable firms include GC Medica, Miracle Power Semiconductor, Chip Probe, and Humanetics Wuxi.

The Dongyu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, located in WND, has been awarded the Gold Medal in Conceptual Architectural Design at the prestigious MUSE Design Awards. Recognized for its forward-thinking planning and innovative layout, the project underscores Wuxi's growing prominence in global industrial park design and serves as a benchmark for urban renewal and industrial transformation.

The International Merchants City in WND is hosting the 2025 Summer Starlight Night Market from May 23 to June 2. Come and experience a vibrant blend of local charm and trendy Gen Z vibes, with dozens of regional delicacies, amusement zones for all ages, and intangible cultural heritage performances.

The newly completed underground parking facility at Taihu Garden Phase II in WND is now operational. Covering 14,000 square meters, the lot provides 324 public parking spaces, alleviating parking challenges in the established residential community. Above ground, the revitalized area features landscaped green spaces, a basketball court, and a fitness plaza, enhancing livability and recreational amenities for residents.

WND welcomed its first Hema NB (Neighbor Business) store at Joy Market on May 30. Catering to local residents, it offers daily low prices and popular products. Online services will soon roll out to nearby communities, boosting convenience and shopping experience.
