Swedish industrial giant Atlas Copco inaugurated its Compressor Technique Wuxi Campus in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, also known as WND, on May 14.
With a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($416.29 million) and spanning 217,000 square meters, the new campus includes a compressed air technology training center, an Asia-Pacific logistics center, and two customer service centers.
The campus will become one of the company's largest R&D and manufacturing bases for industrial compressors outside its global headquarters in Belgium. It is poised to serve as a core driver in building a globally competitive smart equipment industry ecosystem and further WND's ambition to establish a nationally-leading intelligent equipment cluster.
The campus currently houses four key entities: Atlas Copco (Wuxi) Compressor, Wuxi Origin Industry Service, Wuxi Pneumatech Air/Gas Purity Equipment, and the Wuxi branch of Atlas Copco (Shanghai) Trading.

As a century-old global leader in compressor technology, Atlas Copco has been a key foreign-invested enterprise in Wuxi since it established its first local production base in 1994. It has invested nearly 8 billion yuan in the city, making significant contributions to the high-quality development of WND and the broader regional economy.
