The inauguration ceremony for VEM's high-end motor project was held in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, or WND, on May 8.
With a total investment of 150 million euros ($168.4 million), the project focuses on the development of high-end motors, new power control systems, and offshore wind power generators. It aims to overcome technical bottlenecks in traditional motors and provide more efficient and intelligent solutions. Once fully operational, the factory is expected to produce 1,500 units annually, with an estimated annual sales revenue of 1.5 billion yuan ($206.97 million).
Wang Jianyu, managing director of VEM, said the launch of the new factory reflects the alignment between VEM's century-long industrial vision and China's advanced manufacturing capabilities. He emphasized the company's strong confidence in Wuxi's development environment and reiterated VEM's commitment to deepening cooperation with WND to enhance innovation capacity and promote the green and intelligent transformation of motor manufacturing.
