  • China Resources Recycling Group Green Fiber Co Ltd was launched in Wuxi on April 23. This marks a new step in the specialized, large-scale development of textile waste recycling, strengthening national resource security, supporting public welfare, and driving progress toward China's dual carbon goals.

  • Jiangnan University's School of Humanities and the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra have recently established an "Art Education Practice Base". Music graduate students will participate in internships at the orchestra, gaining practical experience in performance and arts management. In return, the orchestra will provide interactive platforms such as concerts, music experiences, and public events for the university's students and faculty. This initiative strengthens ties between academia and local arts institutions, fostering collaborative innovation in music education and talent development.

  • A progress briefing on the collaboration between Jiangnan University and WND, along with developments at the Industrial Intelligence Innovation Research Institute, was held on April 19. During the event, a major provincial innovation platform was launched, building a full innovation chain from fundamental research and tech development to commercialization and talent cultivation. The platform aims to drive breakthroughs in industrial intelligence and form strategic university-industry alliances.

  • WND and Huzhu county in Haidong, Qinghai province held their first joint meeting on April 20. At the event, the Dual Carbon Industry Innovation Center was unveiled, along with several cooperation agreements concerning consumption, employment, computer software & hardware tech services, and solar energy storage and charging.

  • WND launched its Intellectual Property Publicity Week on April 24, accompanied by a series of practical trainings on IP policies, protection, and risk control for enterprises. The district is also making an IP development plan to fuel innovation and high-quality growth.

  • The Xinyang Road Station on Wuxi Metro Line 5 is the first of its kind in Jiangsu to widely adopt prefabricated composite construction techniques. With a 90.2% prefab rate, this two-level underground station on Taibo Avenue is being assembled from 461 major components — and it's already over 80% complete.

  • Wuzhou Columbus Plaza in WND is undergoing a major renovation and the first facade renderings have been released. With updated visuals, redesigned waterfront walkways, and plans for a trendy night market, it's poised to become a popular immersive hub for shopping, entertainment, and socializing.
