The Wuxi Semiconductor Equipment and Key Components Innovation Center opened on April 12 after five months of preparation, with agreements for eight industrialization projects signed on site. Backed by WND and Wuxi Industrial Innovation Research Institute, the center is located in the Xingang Integrated Circuit Equipment and Components Industrial Park. It aims to become a leading innovation and incubation base, injecting fresh momentum into Wuxi's vision of building a world-class IC industry cluster.

The first "AI4X" International Academic & Industry Conference took place in WND on April 12. Highlights included the launch of the PolyU-Wuxi Technology and Innovation Research Institute Knowledge Transfer Center, a tech innovation center for HK enterprises, the PolyU Wuxi Alumni Center, and a PolyU AI talent training base. Agreements for 16 AI+ projects were signed on site.

A trade delegation from WND recently visited Hungary, the Netherlands, and Spain to deepen ties with European partners. Through enterprise visits and signings of project agreements, the trip reinforced WND's position as Wuxi's leading hub for foreign trade and investment.

People's Daily reported on GE HealthCare China's innovation centers on April 13, emphasizing its role in accelerating local innovation by combining global resources with Chinese expertise. The innovation center in Wuxi, established in 2021, has led numerous breakthroughs, driving the localization and smart transformation of high-end medical equipment and contributing to the high-quality development of the healthcare industry in the Yangtze River Delta.

WND-based Sunvou Medical has developed revolutionary breath analysis technology to diagnose diseases. Its breath analyzer, now used in 80 percent of China's top-tier hospitals, is set to enter homes this year. Sunvou is a leader in this field, holding the largest market share in China.

Dizal Pharma, a listed company on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board (STAR market) in WND, announced the successful completion of its private placement of A-shares. The investment of 120 million yuan ($16.43 million) was made by the Wuxi Biopharmaceutical Industry Fund, marking its first direct investment project.

The Bodu River Sports Center in WND has won gold in the Sports & Recreation Architectural Design category at the 2025 MUSE Design Awards! Celebrated for its seamless integration with the natural landscape and riverside paths, the center provides a vibrant, open space for sports, leisure, and community life.

Two community health service centers in WND – located in Jiangxi and Hongshan sub-districts – have recently been recognized for their exceptional service quality. WND is the only district in Wuxi with all seven centers meeting national standards.

A new eco-park is coming to WND! Inspired by Jiangnan charm and Wu Culture, the Meicun section of the Bodu River Ecological Buffer Zone will feature green spaces, waterfront trails, and cultural nodes with light technology, bringing ancient canal scenes back to life.
