  • Wuxi hosted a conference to promote new industrialization and industry clusters on Feb 11. During the event, WND signed agreements for five major projects worth over 9.5 billion yuan ($1.31 billion). A 5-billion-yuan industrial park, a 1.5-billion-yuan energy compressor project, and over 1-billion-yuan projects in motor and generator gears, display panels, and semiconductor equipment are among the deals covering sectors like smart equipment, digital energy, and semiconductors.

  • CSSC Ship Electric Technology (Wuxi) signed a 1-billion-yuan project on Feb 14 to develop new energy ship electric control and system integration in WND. The company is a market leader in ship propulsion and has outstanding global expertise. Its systems powered tour boats at this year's CMG Spring Festival Gala in  Wuxi.

  • WND's charm lit up the CMG Lantern Festival Gala! From the Taibo Temple Fair in the opening act to Meili Ancient Town's Yunwu Bridge and the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra's enchanting performance, these elements add a touch of local brilliance.

  • The Taibo Temple Fair - the first temple fair after the Chinese New Year in the Jiangnan region, was featured on a China Central Television program on Feb 11. This year's fair brings a festive atmosphere with a lantern show, performances, and trendy attractions.

  • Wuxi Yixin AI Computing and Enflame Technology have recently launched DeepSeek open-source model inference services in WND. This represents a significant advancement in the deep integration of AI computing and models, laying a solid foundation for future applications.

  • Lingjing Cloud Edge AI Station, developed by Cloud Factory Technology and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, launched DeepSeek services on Feb 10. Cloud Factory, a top tech enterprise in WND, is building a local "computing power supermarket".

  • WND leads Wuxi in key lab development! Among the newly announced 2024 key laboratories in the city, 12 are from the district. These labs focus on next-gen IT, integrated circuits, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, and new materials. WND now has 18 municipal-level key labs in total!

  • Seven traditions from WND were recently added to Wuxi's 6th intangible cultural heritage list. These include Hua-style Calligraphy, Shuisheng Noodles Making, Wan's Erhu Making, Jiangnan Lamb Cooking Techniques, Wuxi Cuisine Making, and Wuxi Stone Lock (routine and boxing).

  • The 1969 Creative Block officially opened in Jiangxi sub-district, WND, on Feb 12, bringing together culture, tech, and Z-generation trends! From esports battles to anime carnivals, the event was brimming with creativity and excitement. Backed by robust industry support, it's poised to become a thriving hub for the creative economy!

  • WND is building a new nine-year school! The Xinwu Experimental Xingchuang School will be located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Chunfu Road and Jiangxue Road. It will have 18 primary classes and 36 middle school classes, with a total capacity of 2,610 students.
