WND leads in key laboratory development

The Wuxi Science and Technology Bureau recently released the list of key laboratories for 2024, with Wuxi New District securing 12 projects, the highest number in the city. These labs cover such fields as next-generation information technology, integrated circuits, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine, and new materials. To date, the district has been approved for a total of 18 municipal-level key laboratories.

Among the newly designated labs:

- Wuxi Key Laboratory of Optical Interconnect and Switching for Computing Networks, built by Wuxi Taclink Ootoelectronics Technology, is pioneering hollow-core fiber transmission technology for ultra-low latency and dispersion, along with innovative optical switching solutions.

- Wuxi Key Laboratory of Embedded Automotive Electronic Control Systems, established by E-Quality Intelligent Technology, focuses on the R&D and testing of embedded automotive control systems, aiming to address challenges such as chip localization and intelligent vehicle control.

- Wuxi Key Laboratory of MEMS Sensor and ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) Manufacturing Technology, formed by CMSC Technologies, is dedicated to advancing micro-nano manufacturing technologies that drive industrial innovation. 

- Wuxi Key Laboratory of Industrial Ultrasound Technology and Equipment, led by Wuxi Jiaocheng Intelligent Technology, specializes in ultrasonic metal welding and additive manufacturing, aiming to solve common technical challenges in ultrasonic fabrication.

- Wuxi Key Laboratory of Solid-State Battery Cathode Materials, backed by GEM, focuses on developing high-energy-density and highly safe battery cathode materials.

- Wuxi Key Laboratory of High-Performance Special Rubber Composite Materials, under the leadership of Boton, has made breakthroughs in smart manufacturing and eco-friendly materials, producing the world's first carbon-neutral and bio-based conveyor belts.
