The groundbreaking ceremony for the Wuxi New District (WND) branch of Jiangsu Tianyi High School was held on Dec 29, marking the addition of another high-quality educational resource into the region.

The proposed school is designed to accommodate 72 classes and will be constructed on a site spanning 92,579 square meters. With a total investment of 820 million yuan ($112.36 million), the facility boasts a gross floor area of 117,000 sq m. Scheduled for opening in September 2026, the institution is expected to enroll 3,600 students, boosting high school capacity and promoting educational balance in the region.

Upon completion, the school is poised to comprise academic buildings, dormitories for teachers and students, cafeterias, arts buildings, outdoor sports facilities, and other amenities. Each functional area is relatively independent, with clear divisions between activity and teaching zones, ensuring smooth operations without interference between teachers' and students' movements.

The complex building incorporates the book symbol from Tianyi's school emblem into its design, while other buildings utilize red bricks, a traditional architectural element characteristic of Tianyi. Corridors interconnect all buildings to create an efficient and convenient learning and living environment for students.
