A Chinese calligraphy and painting exhibition themed on plum blossoms opened in Meili Ancient Town, Xinwu district, Wuxi on May 27. This event aims to promote plum blossom culture and further enhance the cultural appeal of Meili Ancient Town.
The exhibition features 113 calligraphy and painting works by nearly 100 artists. It also showcases plum blossom-themed porcelain, jade artifacts, and other items, offering a rich and diverse cultural experience. The event includes a series of activities such as creative workshops and unique cultural experiences centered around Meili's heritage.
Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of Xinwu, highlighted that in recent years, the district has continued in its dedication to enhancing its cultural industry, developing major cultural landmarks such as Meili Ancient Town and Wuxi Symphony Hall. The district has also actively promoted sectors like film and animation, making itself a leader in Wuxi in terms of cultural industry output.
