Mattias Debroyer, trade and investment commissioner of Brussels-Capital Region and economic and commercial consul at the Belgian Consulate General in Shanghai, praised the vigorous growth of Wuxi's biomedical industry. He emphasized that the forum's goal was to facilitate the expansion of Wuxi's biomedical companies into the European Union and to better understand the local business environment.

Gu Guodong, deputy head of Xinwu, noted that the forum presented an opportunity to enhance interactions between the district and Belgium. Xinwu will make the most of the forum to open the EU market and promote more high-quality products in international markets.

Arne Aertbelien, Asia investment manager at the Brussels Agency for Business Support, provided a detailed overview of Brussels' advantages as a center of excellence in life sciences, along with the preferential policies available to Chinese biomedical companies setting up in Brussels.

Guillaume Blauwart, country executive Belgium at Alter Domus, a provider of fund and corporate services, shared insights into Brussels' unique position as an ideal gateway to the European market and the business opportunities that come with it.

Belgian tax officials, law firm partners, and sales managers also contributed to the forum, offering expertise on regulations and policies relevant to the development of biomedical companies in the EU.
