The second phase of the Wuxi International Life-Science Innovation Campus (I • Campus), which was put into operation on the last day of 2023, is already home to numerous research institutions and startups in the life science industry.

With an investment totaling 1.08 billion yuan ($150.69 million), the new park comprises seven buildings equipped for production and another two for research and development. The seven production facilities have already been fully reserved, and the R&D buildings have limited remaining space available.

Among the tenants are renowned research platforms like Peking University's Yangtze River Delta Institute of Future Technology for Life and Health and the Wuxi Innovation Research Institute of China Pharmaceutical University. Many promising new companies, including medical technology company WEMT, have also chosen the park as their base.

Kuang Hong, chairman of I • Campus, revealed that unlike traditional innovation hubs, the new park integrates R&D, product testing, and small-scale production, all in one campus. This approach caters to the practical needs of the life science industry and will help attract additional promising projects.

Zhang Shuqi, a partner at WEMT, explained the reason for choosing the park, noting that the park offers a one-stop solution for startups. It not only provides housing services through talent apartments, but also facilitates administrative approval services, including environmental impact assessments and registration certificates.
