WND enterprises thrive along Belt and Road

(chinadaily.com.cn)Updated: 2023-10-25

Over the past decade, companies in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District, East China's Jiangsu province have actively participated in the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, achieving tangible results.

Wuxi Taclink Optoelectronics Technology Co Ltd established its first overseas wholly-owned subsidiary in Germany in 2019 and expanded further by setting up another subsidiary in Thailand at the end of last year which has already commenced operations.

According to Zhang Shao, the deputy general manager, Taclink had conducted assessments of multiple Southeast Asian countries, and Thailand emerged as a favorable choice due to its location, taxation benefits, competitive labor costs, and strong industrial base in the field of optical communications. The Thai subsidiary is expected to become an integrated manufacturing base offering high-quality products and services to customers worldwide.
