Zhang Jinwei, deputy head of the WND administrative committee, emphasized that Japanese-funded enterprises are long-term partners of WND. He noted that as of the end of last year, there were more than 400 Japanese companies in the district.

Fortune 500 Japanese multinational companies have invested $11 billion in 52 projects in WND, and in 2022, the revenue of Japanese-funded enterprises in the district was nearly 120 billion yuan ($17.27 billion), making WND the largest Japanese-funded enterprise cluster in Jiangsu.

A representative of Mizuho Bank said that since the company's establishment in WND in 2006, the Mizuho Bank Wuxi branch has grown into one of Mizuho Bank China's most important branches with the support of the Wuxi and WND governments.

During their visit to Japan, the WND delegation also visited the headquarters of several Japanese multinational companies and signed several agreements involving industries such as high-end equipment, new displays, intelligent manufacturing, and new energy.
