Expats speak highly of WND's countryside

More than 70 expats from countries including Japan, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Rwanda embarked on a trip to Dafangqiao village, Hongshan sub-district on March 25.

During the trip, which was organized by the Wuxi New District (WND) People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the expats watched Peking Opera and Xiju Opera, visited a picture exhibition about the WND People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and admired spring blossoms at a local garden.

Chris Lloyd from the UK, the general manager of the Wuxi branch of Shanghai Lear Automotive System Co Ltd, said he was impressed by the wonderful sceneries and rich culture in China's rural areas.

Shigou Kusuda from Japan, a senior executive from Caterpillar (China) Machinery Components Co Ltd, was on the trip with his wife and said they would visit the place again the next week. Having worked in WND since 2006, Kusuda said he has witnessed WND's development, which has been especially remarkable in the last 10 years.
