The 2022 Jiangsu-UK Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Project Matchmaking Meeting was held in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District on June 30.

The meeting was sponsored by the Jiangsu Center of International Technology Transfer, the JS-UK 20+20 World-Class University Consortium, and the Association of British Chinese Professors. It aims to promote international exchanges and cooperation on science and technology and attract more projects and talents WND.

Jiang Sunan, counselor at the Science and Technology Department of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, said in his video speech that in the field of manufacturing, the UK has a strong scientific and engineering foundation, and China is committed to innovation and development and has huge market application prospects. China and the UK share common interests in green manufacturing, low-carbon manufacturing and other fields, and there are huge opportunities for technical cooperation and potential.

Jiang added that the project matchmaking meeting is expected to become a platform for Chinese and British scientific research experts and enterprises to communicate and seek further cooperation.

Alan Marshall, chairman of the UK side of the JS-UK 20+20 World-Class University Consortium, said that the consortium currently has 49 member units, including 17 UK universities and 32 universities in Jiangsu province. Both sides have been carrying out cooperation on technology research and development, talent exchanges, and transnational cooperative education in fields such as manufacturing, environmental engineering and medical care.
