Culture, sports centers planned on banks of Bodu River

A culture center and a sports center are coming to the banks of the Bodu River in Xinwu district. Construction will start in July and is planned to be completed in 2024, according to the project plan.

The Bodu River Cultural Center will be located on the east side of the intersection of Taibo Avenue and Xixing Road, on the south end of Chunhua Road, and to the north side of Bodu River, with a total construction area of about 22,000 square meters. It will be divided into different zones including a cultural hall, a library, an exhibition center (art gallery), and a multi-purpose hall that can be used as a performance rehearsal hall.

Two kilometers away from the cultural center, the Bodu River Sports Center will be located at the intersection of Taibo Avenue and Ximei Road on the south end of Xinyang Road and to the north side of the Bodu River. Involving a total construction area of about 20,000 square meters, the center will contain a comprehensive hall and separate sections for swimming, basketball, table tennis, squash, badminton, fitness, rock climbing, and other sports.
