Hongshan sub-district launches various industrial projects

Hongshan sub-district in Xinwu district, Wuxi hosted a ceremony on March 7 to release construction plans for the Hongshan Modern Industrial Park, announce the construction of four industrial parks, and sign eight new industrial projects and five headquarters projects.

The ceremony was held at the construction site of the Hongshan Optoelectronics Industrial Park (South District) Pilot Demonstration Park. The industrial park has an intended investment of over 1 billion yuan ($158.18 million), will cover an area of about 10 hectares and will be divided into two phases.

It will consist of high-quality projects in the high-end intelligent equipment industry, high-standard workshops and office buildings with a total construction area of more than 250,000 square meters. Its total output value is expected to reach 2.5 billion yuan and it is expected to pay 200 million yuan in taxes annually.

Construction also started on three industrial parks focusing on industries such as biomedicine, integrated circuits, intelligent manufacturing, large-scale transportation, new materials, and new energy.

Eight industrial projects were signed with a combined investment of over 6.3 billion yuan. The projects will involve intelligent equipment manufacturing and vehicle operation and maintenance, which are expected to bring in over 10 billion yuan in new sales.

Agreements for five headquarters projects were signed as well, among which four involve the large transportation industry.

The auto parts industry of the large transportation industry in Wuxi has a relatively complete industrial chain, strong supporting capacity and high technological level, and a number of famous auto enterprises from Japan, German, the United States and South Korea have built plants in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District.
