WND scores well in provincial appraisal

The WND moved up three spots to rank second among Jiangsu province's high-tech zones in the 2020 comprehensive assessment of innovation-driven development led by the provincial department of science and technology.

The evaluation criteria were based on knowledge creation and technological innovation abilities, industrial upgrading and structural optimization capabilities, internationalization and global competitiveness, and sustainable development capabilities. The WND achieved a more balanced result in all four aspects, standing out in the evaluation of industrial upgrading and structural optimization, and sustainable development capabilities.

In recent years, the WND has performed multiple measures to optimize the layout of the industrial system, gather innovative resources, improve the construction of entrepreneurship and innovation carriers, and introduce and cultivate talents.
