WND signs 28 deals on digital economy with Hangzhou

Wuxi hosted an exchange and cooperation fair to promote cooperation in digital economy development with Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on Oct 8.

A total of 81 deals, worth 10.2 billion yuan ($1.58 billion), were signed during the fair. The deals included building industrial bases, digital platforms, and innovation centers, with a focus on the internet of things, big data, artificial intelligence, as well as integrated circuits.

Among the new deals, 27 projects attracted investment of 100 million yuan and 13 attracted over 300 million yuan in investment. The total investment amount increased by 80 percent compared to deals signed during last year's event.

The new deals included 28 projects signed to be carried out in Wuxi National Hi-tech District, with investment totaling 3.61 billion yuan. The projects cover digital economy areas like the internet of things, big data, smart cities, and a financial fund to promote the district's high-quality development.

A ceremony marking the entry of enterprises into Wuxi Benma Science and Technology Innovation Center Industrial Park was also held during the fair.

The industrial park was co-built by Benma Industry and WND with a total investment of 720 million yuan. Its construction area spans 145,000 square meters, including research and development centers for smart terminals like mobile phones and tablets, as well as robots and industrial internet. It also includes innovation centers for virtual reality and augmented reality digital assets.

After being put into operation, the industrial park is expected to attract over 5,000 R&D talents and realize an annual operating income of over 3 billion yuan.
