WND to build new IC headquarters

Integrated circuit company Zhixun Innovation on Sept 29 signed an agreement to build its new headquarters in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District.

With total investments exceeding 500 million yuan ($77.54 million), the company is made up of top IC professionals who specialize in storage product design, chip design, system software, packaging substrate, and quality control.

The company will provide global clients with one-stop low and medium capacity storage solutions. Its main products include the NAND flash memory SLC series, the MLC series and memory PSRAM series, as well as the LPDDR series, which can be widely used in consumer electronics, the internet of things, surveillance, and network access equipment.

The company is currently focused on the research and development of high-end memory chips and is expected to have an output value of over 1 billion yuan in five years. The company is also planning to debut on the science and technology innovation board by 2025.

Cui Rongguo, director of Wuxi's Xinwu district, said that the company will help fill the gap in the domestic independent memory chips industry and serve as a good complement to the local IC industry chain.

According to Cui, WND is a highland of the IC industry in China. It has an industrial scale of 98.9 billion yuan in 2020, accounting for one-ninth of the country's total. WND has a complete IC industrial chain comprising IC design, wafer manufacturing, packaging and testing, and equipment materials.
