The Qi Niao Wan bird-habitat site located in the southern part of Lianghong National Wetland Park in Xinwu district, Wuxi opened to the public recently.

With a construction area of about 21,000 square meters, the ecological restoration model project was originally an abandoned vineyard. It was built to provide a suitable living environment for birds with different habitats, such as gulls and herons, by restoring various waterfront landscapes like islands, bays, beaches, as well as dikes. The area has retained some original trees to provide sufficient food for bird conservation.

Located inside the Exhibition Park of Chinese Wu Culture in Wuxi's Xinwu district, Lianghong National Wetland Park is close to Taibo Canal. It is bordered by Cao Lake to the east and the Wangyu River to the south.

It is one of the first 12 national wetland parks approved in the country. It has been working to improve the diversity of wetland communities and the integrity of the ecological structure. Through continuous wetland protection and ecological restoration work, the park has improved its water quality, as well as enriched its wetland plant diversity, attracting a large number of wetland wild animals to inhabit it.

The wetland park has promoted the development of ecological industries in the surrounding areas. Tourists are able to feel relaxed enjoying an abundance of rivers, lakes, as well as lush green vegetation, with boats gently swaying on the water and birds flying above.
