Whole region united in fighting against Typhoon Lekima

Typhoon Lekima, the ninth typhoon of the year, passed through WND at 1am on Aug 11, with the maximum wind reaching level 9 near the area center, causing torrential rain across the whole region, with every neighborhood fully engaged in the work of fighting against the typhoon and flooding.

In Shuofang Neighborhood, each relevant department was on call 24-hour and jointly conducted the night inspection.

Wangzhuang Neighborhood conducted inspections along the ancient canal within the boundary, promptly dealing with the problem of watertight roads in the industrial park by organizing dredging and drainage work.

Jiangxi Neighborhood attached great importance to the demolition area's flood prevention work, ensuring timely elimination of dangerous situations.

Meicun Neighborhood carried out key inspections of the northwest section of the industrial park  and handled four waterlogged road sections.

Hongshan Neighborhood launched overnight inspection of Wangyu River dike and other key sections, dredging pipes, pumping and draining water, clearing fallen branches, as well as eliminating potential safety hazards.

All departments of Xin'an Neighborhood strengthened inspection of the embankments of Taihu Lake and Wangyu River, as well as promptly dealt with the problems of water on the ground in communities, on the highway bridge culvert, and on the ground at the fishermen's transition point at Shadun Port.
