Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) has formed a biological medicine industry cluster, involving life sensor, biological pharmacy, medical instruments (including diagnostic reagent) and health services. It has attracted more than 210 biological medicine companies, some of which are leading giants in their field all across the world. In 2013, the WND biological medicine industry's output reached 14.3 billion yuan ($2.3 billion).
