The high-end equipment manufacturing industry is the economic engine of the Wuxi National Hi-tech District. Currently, the district has a total of more than 400 domestic and foreign equipment manufacturing enterprises, with output value exceeding one hundred billion yuan.

The industry involves such business fields as the whole machine equipment, auto parts, energy saving and environmental protection equipment, engineering machinery, and mechanical and electrical equipment .

High-end equipment manufacturing industry plays an important role in the transformation and upgrading of the traditional industry.

The district is committed to both promoting the transformation of high-end equipment manufacturing industry and building industrie 4.0. target, a strategy in Germany aimed at digitalizing the manufacturing industry.
