Japanese mechanical seal manufacturer Eagle Industry Co announced the opening of a new research and development center in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on July 10.

Wang Jinjian, Party secretary of WND, attended the opening ceremony and offered his congratulations and best wishes.

Covering an area of 2,510 square meters, the new R&D center is first of its kind to be built by Eagle in China, with total investment of 80 million yuan ($1.16 million).

Eagle Industry Co built its Wuxi branch in 2002. Through long-term cooperation with WND, the new R&D center has contributed to the research and development of key components for technologies related to new energy vehicles, energy conservation and environmental protection.
