WND promotes 5G and semiconductor development

A delegation from Wingtech Technology visited Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on July 1, to hold discussions about their plans to invest in the city.

Wingtech Technology is the world's leading intelligent terminal product research and development (R&D) company. It is the leading enterprise in the mobile phone ODM (original design manufacturer) industry and the only listed company in the industry with a market share of over 10 percent.

Wingtech Technology will build its future headquarters in WND, which focuses on design and development of integrated intelligent terminals, semiconductors and intelligent manufacturing and packaging. The 5G smart terminal and semiconductor R&D and intelligent manufacturing base, which are the first projects, will be officially put into operation in September.

Wang Jinjian, Party secretary of WND, welcomed the delegation led by Wingtech's CEO Zhang Xuezheng, and said the government will provide full support for the projects' construction and launching.

Zhang said Wingtech Technology will strengthen its technology R&D in the 5G field and help promote the intelligent transformation and upgrading of 5G intelligent terminals and semiconductor R&D bases in Wuxi.
