The newly-built ecological park, with a total planning area of 334,800 square meters, will be covered with over 2,000 cherry trees and be open to the public in April.
A total of 7,000 cherry trees will also be used in urban green spaces in the district, beautifying the landscape and enhancing the living environment for locals.
By the end of 2018, a total of 4,896 hectares of trees had been planted in WND, of which 606.3 hectares are in public areas. The green coverage rate has so far reached 33 percent.
