WND to carry out 50 major projects in 2019

A total of 301 major 2019 Wuxi projects worth 297.7 billion yuan ($44.28 billion) were launched on Feb 19, among which 50 were located in WND, with a total investment of 73.3 billion yuan. The district ranked first in the city in terms of both the number of projects started and total investment.

This year's launching ceremony was located in WND for the second year in a row, with the commencement ceremony for the Wuxi LG chemical automotive battery anode materials project being held at the same site. The LG project, which has a total investment of $5 billion, is expected to finish construction and begin trials in December.

The project will further bolster WND as an influential "Korean-funded sector" in East China, and is a milestone in strategic cooperation between Wuxi and LG.
