(chinadaily.com.cn)Updated: 2018-08-28

The School of Business of Jiangnan University received a letter from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) on Aug 9, confirming that its MBA program had passed the certification of the AMBA.

So far, Jiangnan University's School of Business is the second one recognized by the AMBA in Jiangsu province, the 36th in the Chinese mainland and the 258th around the world.

The university's MBA program will now be able to have international exchanges with other programs within the AMBA recognition system.

Jiangnan University was one of the schools approved by the State Council to launch MBA programs in 2007, and began to recruit students in 2008.

Starting the AMBA certification work in 2014, the university's MBA program fulfilled pre-certification requirements in the first half of 2017 and passed an on-site inspection one year later.

Oriented by the new talent cultivation needs and relying on the dynamic economic development environment of Wuxi and the Yangtze River Delta region, Jiangnan University continuously improves the quality of its MBA program and aims to build a first-rate business school.

Founded in the UK in 1967, the AMBA is one of the three authoritative international certification systems for global business schools. The other two are the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

The AMBA specializes in the certification of the quality MBA and EMBA programs. Only business schools which rank the top two percent around the world have earned its recognition.
