Wuxi-based high-tech enterprises awarded national Top 50

Two Wuxi-based high-tech enterprises, Huayun Data Holdings Ltd and Fanruan Software Co Ltd, have broken into the top 50 enterprises in China for big data development, according to a report released Aug 3.

The report was jointly issued by the China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Big Data Industry Alliance of China.

The 50 enterprises will lead the healthy and rapid development of China's big data industry and drive China to become a major force in that sector.

With leading technologies and advantages in the fields of big data and cloud computing, Huayun Data has been listed among China's top 20 big data "unicorns". As a professional big data and analysis platform provider, Fanruan Software was one of the enterprises with a billion yuan ($145 million) in sales in 2015 and ranked first in 2017 Business Intelligence (BI) market share in China, according to CCID Consulting Co Ltd.

Wuxi has more and more advantages in the software service industry, and big data and BI have been applied to fields such as education, medicine and the internet of things (IoT), said sources with the Wuxi Municipal Economic and Information Committee. The digital economy represented by software services will achieve rapid growth in Wuxi with smart cities and industrial IoT providing increasing demand and support, according to the professional in the field.
