Jiangsu GMKW Technology Co, a young high-tech company in Wuxi's Xinwu district, is promoting use of its developed digital identification technology, which it hopes will revolutionize quality testing for products. The NDCode technology, which combines nanotechnology, optoelectronics and information technology, can identify products and trace their origins and information, as well as giving information about the quality of products.
"This is an emerging technology and has great potential in the identification field, as it is more accurate and cannot be easily falsified," said Liu Hua, the CEO of GMKW Technology Co.
According to Liu, compared with traditional identify labels such as the QR code or bar code, the ND Code is safer to use, as it is invisible to the eye and unique to products.
"The NDCode is difficult to copy because of its complicated optoelectronics technology and is also difficult to be abraded," Liu said.
By scanner, more information of the products can be shown on a computer including the manufacturer and lot number.
Founded in 2016 in Wuxi, the hi-tech company has made significant breakthroughs in its first two years of operation.
After being launched around a year ago, the technology has been used by Perum Peruri, the largest banknote printing company in Southeast Asia and also in other fields, like manufacturing and tracing industry.
"Me and my team spent many years developing the technology in Australia and I was impressed by Wuxi's respect and support to overseas professionals, so I came here in 2016." Liu said.
"Our ultimate aim is to introduce the NDCode to items in more fields such as investment finance, intelligent packaging and the information security and luxury sector."
He Li said there is still a long way to go before it can successfully combine the technology with such items.
